A friendly company of c45 employees. 42T are looking for a Director of Consumer who will manage and grow existing client accounts as well as identify new opportunities.

Key responsibilities
- Developing and executing a strategy to grow the consumer sector by shaping our service offerings to align with client needs and industry trends
- Identifying prospective clients and developing those client relationships into ongoing accounts
- Managing and growing client accounts to identify project opportunities that are aligned with our service offerings and capabilities
- Being a thought leader on the current industry trends and championing the production of marketing collateral aligned with our capabilities and experience
- Leading the commercial negotiations, involving relevant legal and executive colleagues as appropriate
- Liaising with relevant project managers to oversee project delivery in accordance with client expectations and adhering to our established business management processes
Essential requirements
- Educated to degree level in a relevant technical subject
- Extensive knowledge of the Consumer sector (or specific market segments within the sector)
- Understanding and familiarity of current and emergent trends within the sector
- Business development experience in consulting or a related field
- A proven ability to build and develop relationships with senior managers, R&D leaders and business leaders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic, technically credible and business-aware
- Good interpersonal skills; the ability to engage with colleagues and clients on all levels with a personable and empathic approach
- Full UK Driving Licence, valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
Desirable requirements:
- Higher degree, such as PhD or MBA
- Consulting experience involving product or manufacturing process innovation and development
- Experience managing complex product development/R&D projects
- First-hand experience of corporate innovation processes
- Fluent in a second relevant language (German, French or Spanish)
